Oh geez, I cannot believe it has been a month since I have blogged something in. Ehh shoot me.
Actually, I had a busy October and November with school (of course), charity walks, a basketball tournament, some family issues, and many many many other additions. Just recently, I had to write scripts for my class’s morning assembly and had to plan for my friend’s birthday. And now, exams are here. All the stress and weariness I have been experiencing for the past month and a half has been continuously increasing even to now. December 4th is my last day before holiday starts. So I only have to push through for one more week…
Even though I have been heavily weighed down by all the stress and pressure of school and life, overall I am still extremely content and happy here in Jakarta. Moving here is probably the best major decision I had ever made and I definitely have no regrets whatsoever. Of course, that does not mean that I am going to leave my whole life in the states behind. Oh no no no. America is and always will be a part of me. I am just expanding my life to other parts of the world.
So that leads me to the main reason of this post. I want to wish my family and friends all over the world a Happy Thanksgiving. People should enjoy this special holiday not for just the food ( although the food is freaking AWESOME!!) but for the actual meaning. We have to be thankful for what we have because theres many people who are not as fortunate. Life is so precious and short. For most of us who are reading this blog, we have a relatively healthy and normal life. We were born into a good life. And I know that many of you are going to rant about how hard your life is and how your life is not a piece of cake. Well let me tell you something…
…
get over it.
You do not know how lucky you are. There are so many more people who are way less unfortunate and do not enjoy the luxuries as you do. So let me say that you should be thankful for what you have, not just for the materialistic goods but for what should be staple in life: friends and family. I know I have a lot to be thankful for.
I am thankful for life, opportunities, possibilities, hope, love, luck, music, happiness, relationships; both Jakarta and Virginia and most importantly my family and all my old/new friends all around the world – HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE.
I hope everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving this year. Yah you Americans, eat up all the turkey and pumpkin pie and jsut enjoy being around your special ones. Be happy and smile, for life is too short to not make the most of every moment.

Jabba
This is my other dog from America. He is a shetland sheepdog and I have had him for about five years already.
Can’t you see the love showing in his eyes? What a cutie pie.

So Nyuh Shi Dae (SNSD) , also known by their English name Girl’s Generation, is a nine member Korean girl group. 9 members? What the heck, right?
Yeah, that was my initial reaction when I found out about them about a year and a half ago. But with Super Junior having 13 members, I’m guessing maybe the Korean music industry likes ‘em bigger, eh? Ha
How did they catch my attention? Well, apart from being intrigued about a group that has 9 members, I thought that they had this cute girly “girl next door” type image where, like, everyone wanted to be friends with them because they are so fun to be around. Despite their big status in Korea, the girls also seemed down to earth and humble and grounded.
My transformation into becoming a fan had three stages. When I first watched their music videos, I ended up just liking the song. When I first watched their live performances, I started to think, “Hey, I like this group. They are adorable and energetic.” Lastly, when I first watched their variety shows and interviews, it was THEN where I became a total and true fan of theirs because they captured me with their energy, funny charisma, and humbled innocence.

Honestly, it took me forever to learn their names because:
1. There are nine members
2. Some of them look the same
3. Did I mention that there are 9 members?
But I finally know them. And I will name them for you. In the above picture from left to right, in the top row its Taeyeon ( leader), Sunny, and Tiffany. In the middle row from left to right its Hyoyeon, YoonA, Jessica, and YuRi. And in the bottom row its Seohyun and Sooyoung.
It really is hard to pick a favourite because I like them all. And without one, the group would not be what it is. But if I had to pick one..it would be Tiffany, one of the American girls. All I can say is…eye smile, much? You’ll get what I am saying in a later post. : D
Here is their cult hit “Gee”, which was released earlier this year in January. Seriously…this song was HUGE and is what really made them burst into the spotlight and established themselves in the music industry.
And here is their most recent hit “Tell Me Your Wish ( Genie ) “, which was released in late June. This album had a sexier image than the Gee album, but I like it because its sexy enough where it isn’t too sexy. Its sexy girly, which allowed for the group to still seem as respectable young ladies who did not have their innocence destroyed. It wasn’t sexy American sleazy, which is TOTALLY AND UTTERLY TRASHY if you ask me. Yes America, I am telling you that you need to fix that problem.
Well, I hope you enjoy my favourite Korean group. And always remember…SNSD Hwaiting!

Not so long ago, I believed that getting tan was actually a good thing.
I started believing that when I was about…12?
Stupid girl.
Now I am the total opposite. When did I change my view on this matter? Hmm…I really don’t know. Maybe around when I was sixteen and a half. And yes, that half does matter.
If I get a shade darker, I will freak. Honestly. I went to Bali for Lebaran break. And the whole time I hid from the sun.Plus, I constantly put on sunblock. The consequence? My acne broke out. Ehhh
I’m already dark as it is. So I am not going to try and get a tinge darker, thank you very much.
